FAQs

How much will my security deposit be?
Security deposit is generally equal to one months’ rent (in addition to your first month’s rent). You’ll need to pay the full amount when you sign your lease. If you have a pet, an additional security deposit may be charged. We will only know the exact security deposit for you after we process your application.
How do I pay rent?

The best way to pay rent is through the online tenant portal. Online payments may be made by credit card, debit card, or using your checking account.

Your rent is due on the first day of every month. Set up auto-pay and you’ll never miss a payment—and build your credit score!

How do I request repairs or maintenance?
The fastest and most effective way to submit any request is by using the online tenant portal. Log in to your account to create a ticket, and we will usually respond on the same day. Tickets created online are also monitored after business hours and on weekends, and requests will be addressed in a timely manner, based on the level of urgency. Tenants will only be charged for service if the maintenance issue or damage is a result of tenant negligence. Please do not create service tickets for minor apartment improvements and upkeep tasks that are part of the tenant’s responsibilities, such as standard light bulb replacement, hanging TVs and window treatments, etc. If you have any questions in this regard, please email us at management@candorcap.com.
What is the pet policy?

Prior authorization is required for all pets, so be sure to notify us about any pet you have. If you are getting a new pet, you must notify us in advance. Certain breeds, as well as any animal over 50 lbs in weight, may be restricted from being added to the lease. Unauthorized pets are a breach of your lease and will be assessed a fine. Some properties require a one-time pet security deposit and/or monthly pet fees. Pet owners are responsible for any damage caused by pets and will be charged the associated costs and fees. Your lease will contain the full pet policy.

What is the smoking policy?
Smoking is a major health risk and causes damage to your apartment and building. Smoking is not permitted indoors or anywhere else on the property, including balconies, terraces and rooftop recreation spaces.
How do I handle my move-out?
Make sure to notify us of your move-out date at least 30 days prior to your lease expiration. Email us at management@candorcap.com and you will receive detailed instructions for your move-out. Your apartment must be left clean, and in an operable and habitable condition. Once you have moved out, we will conduct an inspection to verify the apartment condition and process your deposit accordingly.
